Airport style guide - warm weather edition
/DISCLAIMER:
I think you know by now that I like clothes, like a lot. I also love to look nice and put together when I travel. While I know many people subscribe to the whole IDGAF look on travel days (you go girl!!) I prefer to look polished yet comfortable. Now there’s certainly no right or wrong way to dress when you travel, but if you opt for the rolled out of bed look, this guide might not be too helpful to you. No shade, just a heads up.
If you’re like me and like to put on a touch of mascara and a cute outfit when you take to the skies, read on!
If I were to describe my travel style in two words it would be “Comfy Chic.”
There is nothing worse than feeling cold and uncomfortable on a plane. So hopefully this guide will set you on the right path for any of your upcoming travels.
I think there really is a formula when it comes to dressing for a flight: LAYERS. And really it doesn’t matter whether it’s pants, a skirt, leggings, a sweater, whatever. As long as it’s stretchy and you layer, you’re good to go!
Okay here’s my airport style formula when traveling to warm climates:
COMFY BOTTOMS (sweats, maxi skirt, stretchy jeans, etc)
COMFY TOP (t-shirt, long sleeve, tank)
SWEATER OR JACKET (rain coat, trench, jean jacket, cozy sweater)
BLANKET SCARF (thick or thin material depending on the climate)
HAT (straw or wool)
GOOD SHOES FOR WALKING (white tennis shoes or comfortable sandals)
CARRYALL BAG (backpack or over the shoulder bag)

Hopefully this guide will help you when you’re trying to figure out what to wear for your flight. Comfort is most important and style is second. Because if you’re not comfortable on a long flight, best of luck to you lol.
I’ll be sure to put together an airport style guide for cold weather in the coming months. Stay tuned!
